Search Feature for WhatsApp Channels
To search in WhatsApp Channels, users will simply need to tap the three dots at the top of the screen and select the magnifying glass icon. This new feature, which users have been looking forward to, emerged in the latest beta version. You can see how the new feature will look in the screenshot below.
While this innovation may seem like a straightforward development, the channel search function will solve the headache for those needing to find relevant information.
Currently, to search within a channel, you must manually scroll through the page. This can be particularly cumbersome and tiring for channels that post many updates in a single day.
WABetaInfo summarizes this important innovation with the statement: “Users will be able to easily enter keywords or phrases related to the updates they are looking for.”
The new feature, currently being tested in the beta version, will likely be rolled out to all users soon.
